Bio of Rev. Cecil Stone


Reverend Cecil B. Stone has been proclaiming the Gospel for nearly 40 years, preaching crusades and revivals, teaching in workshops and seminars, and providing mentoring and coaching to churches and ministry leaders across the world. His ministry emerges out of his profound love for the Lord and an immense passion for worship.
Reverend Stone completed his M.DIV. at Drew Theological Seminary in Madison, NJ and received his D.MIN. from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. He is currently the senior pastor at the Springfield Gardens United Methodist Church where he has served for the last 26. Reverend Stone is also the lead pastor of the Hanson Place Central United Methodist Church, in Brooklyn, NY, where he where he is in his 10th year of ministry.
He is an adjunct professor at Drew Theological Seminary where he recently served as the interim Associate Dean of contextual learning, and is also an adjunct in the New York Theological Seminary's Certificate Program. He is the founder of PETRA Ministries, a structured and biblically based support ministry, combing spiritual formation and practical theology for Pastors, faith leaders, faith communities and community leaders.
Rev. Stone has been married for over 39 years to his faith partner in ministry, Carrol Evangeline and they share in the blessing of their two daughters.
